  • Messages you send to our AI assistants (e.g., Fruitsy, Food AI) — the questions and prompts you type, which are processed to generate a response.
  • Usage data — anonymized data about which pages you visit, collected via standard server logs to improve our content.
  • Analytics data — page views, visits, and performance metrics collected by Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights.
  • Behavioral data — interaction events (e.g., which fruits and recipes you view, game activity, quiz results). When Microsoft Clarity is enabled, it may also record heatmaps and session replays.
  • Cookies and browser storage — small files (cookies) and local browser storage (localStorage) used to remember your preferences (e.g., dark mode, recently viewed fruits, favorites).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver digital products you have purchased (ebooks, guides).
  • To send you the welcome email and free ebook download link you requested.
  • To send periodic newsletters about new Caribbean fruits, recipes, and guides (you can unsubscribe at any time).

3. Data Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • PayPal processes all payments — their privacy policy applies to payment transactions.
  • Supabase hosts our database with enterprise-grade security and encryption.
  • Third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, and OpenRouter) process your AI assistant messages solely to generate a response. We do not use your messages to train these models, and messages are not permanently stored on our servers.
  • Vercel hosts this website and provides web analytics and performance monitoring (Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights).
  • Resend provides transactional email delivery (e.g., purchase receipts).
  • Microsoft Clarity (when enabled) processes behavioral analytics data such as heatmaps and session replays.
  • We may share anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., "most popular fruits") publicly for educational purposes.

4. AI Assistant & AI Providers

  • When you use Fruitsy, Food AI, or other AI features, your question is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response.
  • Conversation context is kept in short-term memory for a limited time (approximately 30 minutes) so the assistant can follow the conversation, and is not written to permanent storage.
  • A copy of your conversation may be stored in your browser's local storage so you can review it later.
  • Please do not include sensitive personal information (e.g., health details, payment details) in AI conversations.

5. Cookies & Browser Storage

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to function (e.g., session, theme preference).
  • Analytics cookies — anonymous traffic analysis to understand how visitors use our site.
  • Browser storage (localStorage) — used for features such as favorites, recently viewed fruits, wishlist, game scores, and player name. This data stays in your browser.
  • You can disable cookies and clear browser storage in your browser settings. Some features may not function correctly without them.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.

  • We retain emails and purchase records only as long as needed to provide our services, respond to inquiries, and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 6).
  • We regularly review and update our security practices.

8. Children's Privacy

  • IslandFruitGuide is not directed at children under 13.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
  • If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.
