Star Apple Milkshake
A creamy, naturally sweet star apple milkshake with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon.

Chrysophyllum cainito

Star apple, known as caimito, is a magical-looking tropical fruit. When cut crosswise, the seeds form a beautiful star pattern. The flesh is sweet, milky-white or purple, with a creamy custard-like texture. It's a cherished dessert fruit across the Caribbean.
Cut in half crosswise to reveal the star pattern. Scoop out the creamy flesh with a spoon, avoiding the skin and seeds. The latex near the skin is sticky β avoid it. Best eaten chilled.
Store at room temperature until ripe (slightly soft). Refrigerate ripe fruit for up to one week. Not suitable for freezing.
Good source of vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, and iron. Contains about 67 calories per 100g with 2g of fiber.
