  • โ€ข1 scotch bonnet pepper, minced
  • โ€ข2 cloves garlic, minced
  • โ€ข1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • โ€ขยฝ tsp allspice
  • โ€ขยผ tsp cinnamon
  • โ€ขSalt to taste

๐Ÿ“ Instructions

  1. 1Combine vinegar and brown sugar in a heavy saucepan, stir over medium heat until dissolved.
  2. 2Add onion, garlic, ginger, and scotch bonnet. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. 3Add diced mango, allspice, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. 4Simmer on low heat for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  5. 5The chutney should be jammy but still have some fruit chunks.
  6. 6Let cool completely before transferring to sterilized jars.
  7. 7Serve with curried dishes, grilled meats, or as a dip with crackers.
